IGP Extends Warm Felicitations to Christians at Easter

As Christians across Nigeria and the world prepare for the 2025 Easter celebration, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has extended warm felicitations to the Christian community.

In a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the IGP highlights the significance of Easter as a time of hope, renewal, and sacrifice.

He urged Christians to reflect on these values and promote peace, unity, and goodwill within their communities.

To ensure a safe celebration, the IGP has directed Commissioners of Police and Assistant Inspectors-General across all Commands to intensify visibility policing, intelligence gathering, and strategic deployment of personnel to worship centres, recreation areas, highways, and other public spaces.

He further called on the public to cooperate with security agencies by providing credible information, staying security conscious, acting with moderation, and avoiding reckless driving during and after the festive period.

The Nigeria Police Force assured citizens of its commitment to a peaceful and crime-free Easter.
