IGP Declares Force Readiness To Confront Emerging Security Threats

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, has declared that the Nigeria Police Force is fully repositioned, proactive, and strategically prepared to confront emerging security threats nationwide.

He made this declaration on Thursday during the commissioning of newly acquired security assets, including forty (40) Panthera Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs), three (3) MRAP Armoured Personnel Carriers, four (4) Sino Trucks Anti-Riot Water Cannons, and three (3) Anti-Riot Deployment Barriers, alongside the unveiling of the Police Mechanical Workshop at Dei-Dei, Abuja.

The IGP while addressing officers and dignitaries, described the event as a bold, strategic statement of intent against criminal elements threatening national peace and security.

The IGP also unveiled the newly constructed Police Mechanical Workshop,a vital facility equipped with modern technology to maintain and manage the Force’s operational fleet.

The Representative of the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Operations, Bzigu Yakubu Kwazi, Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Taiwo Adeleke assured the IGP of the efficient management and deployment of the new operational assets.
