Ifeoma Ben, Former Assistant Secretary of NBA Lagos, Endorses Tobenna Erojikwe for NBA Presidency

In the ever-evolving landscape of legal practice in Nigeria, leadership that combines passion, expertise, and a commitment to the welfare of its members is crucial. This is why I am proud to endorse Tobenna Erojikwe for the position of President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).

Having served as the Assistant Secretary of the NBA Lagos branch during the Yemi Akangbe-led Administration (2019-2021), I had the distinct opportunity to work closely with Tobenna. In this capacity, I witnessed firsthand the exceptional value he brings to the table. Tobenna’s dedication and contributions to the Executive Committee were consistently aimed at enhancing the welfare of our members.

One of the standout moments during our tenure was Tobenna’s initiative to sponsor members for training with the Chartered Institute of Arbitration. This proposal led to many branch members being trained and certified by the CIArb, significantly enhancing their professional capabilities. This is just one example of Tobenna’s forward-thinking approach and his commitment to professional development within the NBA.

Tobenna’s passion and enthusiasm were particularly evident in his leadership of the Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) of the NBA Lagos. His dedication to this role was not just about fulfilling duties but about making a meaningful impact. It’s no surprise that the Olumide Akpata administration recognized his wealth of knowledge and experience, appointing him as the Chair of the NBA Board of Institute of Continuing Legal Education, a role he executed with distinction.

Reflecting on my experience working with Tobenna, I am confident in his ability to lead the NBA towards a future characterized by courage and resilience. His track record speaks volumes about his capability and dedication to the legal profession. Therefore, I urge all members to support Tobenna Erojikwe in his bid for the NBA Presidency. Together, we can build a #courageousandresilientbar.
