According to the Institute’s Vice President, Mrs Uto Ukpanah, ICSAN has always been in the forefront of ensuring that governments at national and state levels succeed in their policymaking for the economy to thrive.

This year’s conference, slated for September 21st, with the theme, ‘Sound Corporate Governance as a Cursor to Thriving Economy: A case of Inclusiveness’ is to do much more by proffering germane solutions to contemporary challenges facing Nigeria’s economy.

Mrs Ukpanah said ICSAN’s conference solutions have always contributed to government public policymaking saying, “ICSAN has an array of professionals in corporate and public administration as well as in leadership and management profession to dissect the theme and sub- themes of the Conference.

“Top on the list is Mr. Asue Ighodalo, Chairman, Sterling Bank Plc, who is the chairman of the occasion, and Professor Enase Okonedo as the Keynote Speaker. The VP who urged ICSAN members across the country (some of whom occupy strategic positions both in the private and public sector) to distinguish themselves by practically displaying sound corporate governance, assured that panelists lined up for the event would not leave any stone unturned on topical issues raised as ICSAN looks forward to communicating its position to the national and state governments at the end of the Confab just as it has always done in the past on matters of national interest.

“The theme of our 47th conference is undoubtedly apt given the situation we found ourselves. We are confident that the crop of speakers would most assuringly give in their best. ICSAN has always taken position on matters of national interest and after this, we shall not hesitate to let our voice be heard on corporate governance, public administration, management and leadership at all levels as it affects every Nigerian”

She added that some eminent Nigerians would be awarded by the Institute for their respective significant contributions towards the growth and development of Nigeria’s socioeconomic and political space, as a way of encouraging them to do more for nationhood. “ICSAN shall honour some Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in various spheres of life with awards of excellence, honorary awards and others. It’s a way to spur them to offer more value to our country in different ways and manner” she maintained.
