The Maiduguri Zonal Commander of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Shuaibu Umar on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 restated the Commission’s adherence global best practices in the discharge of its mandate.
Umar disclosed this when the Coordinator, National Human Rights Commission, Borno State, Jummai Usman Myshelia, visited the Command as part of the nationwide statutory audit of Correctional/Custodial Centres.
Myshelia, who was taken around the detention facility of the Command said, “the exercise is meant to provide recommendations on the condition of detention facilities to the Government in order to set a standard across board; just like what is obtainable at the EFCC”.
