Nigeria’s Industry, Trade and Investment Minister will address investor confidence, economic policy and commercial dispute resolution at the November event.
The Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole, MFR, will deliver the keynote address at the 19th Annual Business Luncheon of S. P. A. Ajibade & Co. on Thursday, November 26, 2026, in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The luncheon’s theme is “Strengthening Investor Confidence in Nigeria: Is Establishing a Specialised Nigerian Forum for the Settlement of International Commercial Disputes the Answer?”
Drawing on her experience in trade policy, investment promotion and business climate reform, Dr Oduwole will provide a policy perspective on Nigeria’s investment opportunities and the Federal Government’s economic agenda.
The event will examine how effective institutions and reliable commercial dispute resolution mechanisms can strengthen investor confidence and improve Nigeria’s attractiveness to international businesses. It is expected to attract legal practitioners, business leaders, investors, arbitrators, policymakers and other stakeholders.

Ahead of the luncheon, SPA Ajibade & Co. has also invited young lawyers to participate in an essay competition based on this year’s theme.
The competition is open to lawyers with one to seven years of post-call experience. Essays must not exceed 2,000 words and must comply with the prescribed formatting requirements and OSCOLA referencing style.
Entries should be submitted in Microsoft Word format to [email protected] by 11:59 p.m. West Africa Time on November 7, 2026.
Winners will receive sponsorship for selected professional certification or examination fees in areas including arbitration, corporate governance, taxation, data protection and intellectual property.
The winners will be announced at the luncheon.
