On Saturday, October 11, 2025, Justice Vault Foundation hosted an impactful event to commemorate the International Day of the Girl Child at Holy Child College, Southwest Ikoyi, Lagos, With the theme “Girls With Dreams Become Women With Vision,” aligned with the global theme “The Girl I Am, The Change I Lead: Girls on the Frontlines of Crisis,” the programme aimed to inspire, educate, and empower young girls to raise their voices and pursue purposeful futures.
A highlight of the event was the keynote session, delivered by two distinguished female leaders. The first speaker, Efe Etomi, addressed the global theme, while the second speaker, Abiye Tam-George, spoke on the foundation’s theme. Their inspiring messages, filled with stories of resilience, courage, and determination, deeply resonated with the students. This was followed by an engaging Q&A session, where the girls posed thoughtful questions and received practical insights that motivated them to dream big and stay focused on their goals.
The brilliance of the students was further showcased through a series of short speeches. A junior student spoke passionately on “Why Every Girl’s Dream is Important,” while another highlighted the theme “Girls Supporting Girls: Why We Must Lift Each Other Up.” Senior students also took the stage with equally engaging presentations on “Girls’ Voices Matter for a Better Future” and “Education as a Tool for Girls’ Empowerment.” These presentations reflected the creativity, confidence, and vision of the students, perfectly aligning with the day’s theme.
As the programme drew to a close, the Founder of Justice Vault Foundation; Ifeoma Ben encouraged the girls to never stop dreaming and to always believe in their ability to shape society. The Head Girl delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing appreciation to the school, the foundation, and the guest speakers for their support and contributions.
The event left the students inspired, empowered, and motivated to pursue their dreams with renewed determination. It reinforced the message that when girls are supported and encouraged to dream, they grow into visionary women who can transform their communities and the world.
