Girl Child’s: FG Insists On Women Empowerment

The Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, has restated the Federal Government’s commitment to women empowerment, in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Speaking at an event to commemorate the International Girl’s Child Day in Abuja, the Minister said the initiative is designed to give every girl and woman the opportunity to step forward, express themselves, and pursue leadership roles, no matter the obstacles they may face.

Hajiya Imaan stressed that the program is not just a celebration, but a call to action, encouraging women across the country to recognize their potential and take up space in all sectors of society.

She further affirmed that the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs is fully aligned with this mission and stands in solidarity with women and girls nationwide. According to the Minister, the Ministry shares in their voices and is committed to supporting them as champions of change and national development.

She urged all stakeholders, including government agencies, civil society, and community leaders, to continue supporting initiatives that promote gender inclusion, equal opportunity, and the active participation of women in nation-building.
