Former Prince Andrew Takes Legal Action Over Police Warrants Used In Epstein Arrest

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is taking legal action against the police force that arrested him earlier this year, challenging the warrants used in the investigation.

According to The Telegraph, Mountbatten-Windsor’s lawyers are seeking a judicial review of search warrants obtained by Thames Valley Police and its chief constable in connection with his arrest.

The warrant was reportedly obtained a day before his arrest, after which police officers searched properties linked to him in Sandringham and on the Windsor estate.

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson confirmed that legal proceedings were ongoing over warrants obtained from the Central Criminal Court.

“Whilst our investigation into misconduct in public office continues, we are engaged in legal proceedings in relation to warrants previously obtained from the Central Criminal Court,” the spokesperson said.

The force declined to comment further, citing the ongoing proceedings.

Mountbatten-Windsor’s legal challenge comes after his brother, King Charles III, stripped him of his Prince title.

His arrest in connection with the Epstein files attracted international attention and was described as the first arrest of a modern British royal.

Images of Mountbatten-Windsor hiding in a car while returning from the police station were widely circulated.

He was reportedly arrested over allegations that he shared confidential material with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The two men’s relationship had been the subject of extensive media scrutiny for years.

Mountbatten-Windsor has consistently denied wrongdoing.

Since his arrest, he has largely stayed out of public view at the Sandringham Estate
