On Wednesday, the immediate Past President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Olumide Akpata, attended the 2023 African Bar Association Conference held at the Main Campus of the University of South Africa, Pretoria.
The former President chaired a session titled “Tax and Financial Implications of the AfCFTA for African Development” in which he explored the vast potential and the considerable tax and financial benefits that the AfCFTA holds for African growth.
He shared this on his page via Twitter X “I am currently attending the 2023 Annual Conference of the African Bar Association taking place at the Main Campus of the University of South Africa, Pretoria with the theme: “Building the Legal Profession in Africa under the AfCFTA.” he wrote
Akpata had the privilege of leading a session with the theme “Tax and Financial Opportunities Arising from the AfCFTA for Advancing African Development.” This session delved into the significant potentials inherent in the AfCFTA, highlighting the substantial financial and tax advantages it offers for fostering African economic expansion.
