The Federal Capital Territory Police Command and the FCT Command of the Nigeria Correctional Service have emphasized the need for collaboration towards ensuring security in the FCT. During Courtesy visit to the Nigerian Correctional Service FCT Command, the FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Dantawaye Miller, stressed the need to strengthen collaboration and enhance synergy between the two security agencies.
Miller emphasized the importance of collaboration, information sharing, and joint operations in ensuring the safety and security of the FCT. The Controller of Corrections, FCT Command, Christopher Peter Jen, appreciated the Commissioner of Police for the visit and for the support the service enjoys in terms of manpower support to the custodial centres.
He also took the opportunity to sensitize him on the correctional practices and the ongoing reformatory programmes within the facilities in FCT. Highlighting the visit, the Controller showcased the productive capabilities of the inmates, as gifts made by the inmates of custodial centers in the FCT were presented to the Commissioner of Police.
Both leaders expressed commitment to working together to enhance security and promote rehabilitation in the nation’s correctional facilities.
