The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has stated that criticisms will not deter him from supporting the judiciary.
Speaking on Friday during the flag-off ceremony for the design, construction, and furnishing of the office annex of the Body of Benchers in Abuja, Wike emphasized the need for collaboration between the judiciary, executive, and legislative arms of government.
The former Governor of Rivers State revealed that funds for the construction of the Body of Benchers office complex had already been included in the FCT’s supplementary budget. He assured that sufficient funding was available for the project and expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his steadfast support of the FCT Administration.
In response to a request for a fire service station within the Body of Benchers complex, Wike pledged to include the project in the FCT’s 2025 budget.
“You can take it for granted; by 2025, we are going to establish a fire service station within this complex. I want to assure the Body of Benchers that I will make you proud, and you will see a difference as far as governance is concerned,” he said.
