Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has answered to questions about who directed the killing of EndSARS protesters at the Lekki tollgate on October 20, 2020.

In the year 2020, a large number of young Nigerians demonstrated against police brutality in various sections of the country. On October 20, 2020, Nigerian youths protesting at the Lekki tollgate were attacked by military officers who opened fire on the protesters.

While campaigning for re-election as governor on Arise TV yesterday, Sanwo-Olu stated that on October 20, 2020, he was in his residence with certain members of his cabinet when the shooting at the Lekki tollgate occurred. He also stated that he had personally reached out to those who claim they were affected by the Lekki tollgate shooting incident.
