Emmanson Denies ₦500bn Suit Claim against Ibom Air, Considers Future Legal Action

Comfort Emmanson, the Ibom Air passenger at the center of recent reports alleging a ₦500 billion lawsuit against the airline, has denied initiating any such legal action.

Speaking through a statement shared on social media, Emmanson clarified that while she has not yet taken the matter to court, she is considering her legal options following her ordeal with the airline.

“I have not filed any lawsuit against Ibom Air, contrary to circulating reports. However, I reserve the right to seek legal redress in the future, and I am consulting with my lawyers on the appropriate steps,” she explained in a post shared on her Instagram page.

The controversy stems from a viral incident involving Emmanson on an Ibom Air flight, which sparked intense reactions both online and offline. Speculations quickly spread that she had demanded ₦500 billion in damages, a claim she now insists is premature and inaccurate.

Emmanson’s clarification comes amid growing media attention, with aviation stakeholders urging restraint and accurate reporting on the issue. Meanwhile, Ibom Air has yet to issue an official response to her latest statement.
