The Uyo Zonal Commander of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, ACE Bawa Hamidu, has commended the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, for assisting the EFCC in the remand of its suspects in Cross River State.
He gave the commendation on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 when he paid a Courtesy Visit to the NSCDC’s Cross River State Commander, Cmdt Samuel Fadeyi in his office in Calabar. According to him , the NSCDC has been helpful and supportive of the EFCC in the state and such collaboration deserves appreciation.
“You have always responded to our requests, especially when it involves the remand of our suspects in Cross River State, and you have truly proven that you’re just a call away and no one agency can do the job alone. You have always responded to our call, and it is our desire that this partnership gets better and stronger,” he said.
Bawa also called for stronger synergy between the two agencies, stressing that such collaboration is mutually-rewarding.
In his response, Fadeyi pledged that the robust working relationship between the NSCDC and the EFCC would continue to get better, in order to make it easy for both agencies to collectively work for the greater good of Nigeria.
