In a significant ruling on Friday, the Supreme Court dismissed the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) case against Shettima’s double nomination.

Justice Adamu Jauro who read the Judgement, justified the Supreme Court’s decision by stating that the PDP lacks the right or locus standi to institute the case since they are not affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Additionally, the court has imposed a fine of N2 million on the PDP.
