The Delta State House of Assembly, DSHA, has suspended another member over alleged gross misconduct.
The suspended member, Oboro Preyor, received a 14 legislative day ban for his offence.
The motion for the suspension of Preyor was moved by the Majority Leader, Emeka Nwaobi, representing Aniocha North and seconded by the member representing Ughelli North 1 constituency, Mathew Omonade.
Following the adoption of the motion, the Speaker, Emomotimi Guwor, directed the Sergeant-At-Arm to escort the suspended lawmaker out of the hallowed chamber.
The Speaker announced that an adhoc committee would be set up to investigate the issues that led to the suspension.
Recall that Preyor was the third lawmaker suspended within three months.
Meanwhile, the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori will on Thursday this week, present the 2025 Appropriation Bill to the Assembly.
The information is contained in a letter to the House by the Governor and read at plenary by the Speaker.
Oborevwori in the letter informed the House of his intention to present the draft bill for the 2025 Appropriation Law, in line with the provisions of Section 121, sub-section 1, of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended.
The Governor solicited that the House grant him an audience on Thursday, 14th November 2024 at 10am to enable him present the proposed Recurrent and Capital estimates for the 2025 fiscal year
