The Nigeria Police Force has issued a wanted declaration for Trevboi, a former signee of Davido, in connection with the murder of Kehinde Adesanwo at Bar 38 Nightclub in Fadeyi, Lagos State.
The incident reportedly occurred on Friday, July 14, around 9 pm, when the accused allegedly refused to pay a bill of N52,000 and attempted to leave the nightclub without settling it.
A bouncer stationed at the entrance confronted Trevboi, leading to an altercation. Kehinde intervened to prevent a fight, at which point the accused allegedly pulled out a gun and shot him in the stomach. Following the shooting, Trevboi fled the scene, leaving witnesses shocked. Kehinde, who was reportedly married last year, tragically lost his life.
A Twitter user, claiming to be a friend of the deceased, posted a picture of the musician and labeled him as “wanted,” describing him as “armed and dangerous.” The user urged Trevboi to face the consequences of his actions.
In response to the Twitter post, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the police command, confirmed that an investigation into the incident is underway. Hundeyin revealed that the suspect, who is currently at large, abandoned his car and escaped on foot. The police have taken custody of the abandoned vehicle and the documents found inside it.
