The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Jimoh, on Wednesday, decorated 80 of the newly promoted officers, serving in the Command, with their new ranks. The officers were promoted from the rank of Inspector to Assistant Superintendent of Police II, ASP II.
CP Jimoh congratulated the officers on their well-deserved promotions. He described their elevation as a reward for their dedication, hard work, and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
The CP emphasized the need for discipline, respect for human rights, and community-oriented policing. He charged the newly promoted officers to see their promotion as a call to greater responsibility and renewed commitment, stressing that the reward for hard work is more work.
CP Jimoh also expressed profound appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, and the Police Service Commission, for their unwavering commitment to motivating officers through timely promotions. He noted that such gestures serve as morale boosters and will ultimately enhance the quality of Police service delivery.
