Court to Rule on Injunction in Contract Dispute Today

The Ogun State High Court in Ifo will today rule on an application for an interlocutory injunction in a suit over an alleged breach of contract involving the assets of Dolphin Steels Limited, which is in receivership.

The suit, numbered HCF/136/2026, was instituted by Prodigy Finance Limited, which seeks an order of specific performance over an agreement for the sale of the company’s assets located in Papalanto, Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The defendants are the receiver-manager of Dolphin Steels Limited, Mr. Olugbenga Ajala, and Zenith Bank Plc.

On July 23, counsel to the claimant, Oluwatosin Olumakin, urged the court to restrain the defendants from further dealing with or disposing of the assets pending the determination of the substantive suit.

The application followed the absence of legal representation for the defendants at the proceedings.

After confirming that the required hearing notices had been served and noting that the defendants were out of time to respond to the application, Justice Ogunfowora adjourned until August 3 for ruling on the application.
