A court of Appeal sitting in Abuja on Monday sacked Shehu Sagagi’s led Kano executives of the Peoples Democratic Primary (PDP).

This is coming on the same day Atiku Abubakar, the Party’s Presidential Candidate welcomed Senator Ibrahim Shekarau into the party.

The Monday judgment has invalidated a judgment by a Federal High Court that upheld Shehu Sagagi as the Kano PDP Chairman.

Sagagi, a supporter of Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso who defected to the NNPP is being accused by some members of the PDP as working for Kwankwaso against the PDP.

This led to a decision by the National Working Committee of the PDP to dissolve the leadership of the Kano party on March 29, and subsequently appointing a six man caretaker committee.

However, on May 25, a Federal High Court halted the NWC move to sack Sagagi.

In today’s ruling, the court of Appeal has set aside that judgement based on reasons that include the issue being an internal party affair.
