The chief-judge of the Apex court gave the charge while inducting newly appointed magistrates, and judges of Sharia and customary courts at the National Judicial Institute in Abuja.
The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, represented by Justice Chidiebere Uwa, charged the new members of the bench to guard their integrity jealously and resist any conduct that could compromise the ethical and professional standards of the judiciary.
The Administrator of the National Judicial Institute, Justice Salisu Abdullahi, urged the new judges to strike a balance—resolving disputes swiftly while upholding fairness, impartiality, and thoroughness.
Justice Abdullahi also revealed that the institute will soon embark on a nationwide assessment tour to evaluate how its training programs are impacting judicial performance.
