The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, has urged judiciary officers to maintain the trust of the public in their offices. He emphasized the importance of public employment in the court system to enhance judiciary integrity and independence.

Ariwoola addressed the Hybrid National Workshop on Court Services in Abuja, focusing on ‘Advancing Justice through Effective Court’.

The workshop aimed to inform stakeholders and administrative staff about the need for enhanced productivity in the sector, focusing on ICT for efficient and transparent service delivery.

The CJN emphasized that effective court services are not just about expediting cases but also ensuring accessibility, transparency, and fairness.

“Note that the holding of public employment in the court system is public trust, justified by the confidence that the citizenry reposes in the integrity of the offices and the employees of the judiciary,” the CJN stated further.

Giving a welcome address earlier, the administrator, the National Judicial Institute (NJI), Justice Salisu Garba Abdullahi, said the workshop was to intimate stakeholders and administrative staff on the need for enhanced productivity in the sector.
