The African Women Lawyers Association (AWLA) Nigeria, in partnership with the O.B. Lulu-Briggs Foundation Care for Life, has announced its 2026 Pre-Parley Event themed “Honouring Our Roots – Celebrating Our Elders.” The initiative is designed to recognise and celebrate the invaluable contributions of senior members of the community whose resilience, wisdom, and lifelong sacrifices continue to inspire future generations.
According to the organisers, the event will serve as a platform to honour the elderly while fostering intergenerational engagement through inspiring conversations and meaningful interactions. Participants will enjoy health and wellness sessions, the sharing of life lessons and experiences, cultural performances, as well as food, fun, and fellowship. AWLA Nigeria noted that the programme reflects its commitment to preserving cherished values, celebrating enduring legacies, and strengthening community bonds ahead of its 2026 Annual Parley Conference.
