Buhari Terminates Saratu Umar’s Appointment As NIPC Boss

President Muhammadu Buhari has immediately terminated Hajiya Saratu Umar’s position as the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC).

The President also instructed that the Commission’s most senior Director immediately take on interim leadership responsibilities, according to a directive sent to Otunba Richard Adeniyi Adebayo, the Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment.

In the brief statement issued on Thursday evening by Chief Femi Adesina, the Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, the reason why Umar was removed was not mentioned.
