Aisha Binani Dahiru, the All Progressives Congress’ candidate for governor of Adamawa State, has filed an exparte action with the Federal High Court in Abuja asking for permission to have the judgment of the Independent National Electoral Commission judicially reviewed.
She is seeking “leave of the court allowing the applicant to file an application for judicial review of the first respondent made on April 16, 2022, in respect of the gubernatorial election of Adamawa State held on March 18, 2023, and the supplementary elections held on April 15, 2023.”
The INEC Returning Officer had on Sunday declared Aisha Biani winner of the just concluded Governorship supplementary Elections in Adamawa which the INEC headquarters opposed, thereby sacking the REC.
