Beg Nigerian Govt Or Die In Jail – Cleric Tells Nnamdi Kanu

Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has advised Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), to plead with the Nigerian government to secure his release. Ayodele warned that Kanu’s refusal to beg could result in his death while in detention. The advice was given during the launch of Ayodele’s 30th “Warning to the Nations” at his church in Lagos on Saturday.

Kanu is currently detained by the Department of State Services (DSS) on orders from the Nigerian government. His detention has persisted despite various court orders granting him bail, which the government has refused to honor. This situation has prompted Southeast governors and senators to agree to meet President Bola Tinubu to seek a political solution for Kanu’s release.

Kanu has been in detention since June 2021, following his re-arrest in Kenya and subsequent repatriation to Nigeria. His prolonged detention has sparked significant controversy and calls for his release from various quarters. The continued defiance of court orders by the Nigerian government has further complicated the situation.

In addition to his advice to Kanu, Primate Ayodele also predicted that Nigeria would eventually break up, but without bloodshed. He emphasized that neither Nnamdi Kanu nor Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Igboho would be responsible for the breakup, which he believes will originate from the North.

According to Ayodele: “Nigeria will break but not through Nnamdi Kanu or Sunday Igboho, Kanu should beg the government before he is released or else he will die in jail.”

“He should hands off because he lacks the capacity to carry the agitation. The country will break without a bloodbath, it will be a natural cause.”

[b]“Prayer and fasting will not stop it because the spirit of existence is tired. The spirit of our forefathers like Tafawa Balewa is not happy. Nigeria’s break up will start from the North.”
