Bala Mohammed, Bauchi State Governor, has signed into law the Bill
The new law will give the legislative and judiciary arms of government financial autonomy.
Mohammed, while signing the bills, on Friday, said that the law had repealed the Bauchi State Separation of Account Judiciary Law 2019.
“This law will, among other things, ensure that allocation meant to each arm of the state government on the Consolidated Statutory Revenue Fund are promptly paid into the designated account of each arm based on the appropriation of the state for each year.
“This is to accentuate and make sure that the judiciary is completely independent and autonomous,” he said.
