Dr. Grace Perpetual Dafiel, PhD, LLM, BL, LLB, FCIFC, FCIMC, FCALM, ACIS, is a distinguished expert in human security, with a career spanning over 27 years in social and humanitarian work, and 20 years in legal and protection services for women and children in Nigeria. She specializes in protection, peace building, mediation, arbitration, and system strengthening, with extensive experience in Strategic Knowledge Management, Monitoring & Evaluation, and program development across various sectors including gender, governance, and HIV/AIDS.
As an accomplished academic, she lectures Law at Veritas University, focusing on Family Law, Law of Evidence, Torts, CriminalLaw, Information & Communication Law, and Engineering Law. Barr. Dafiel is also actively engaged as the Executive Director/Vice President of Touch A Heart Social and Economic Right Initiative, and serves as Principal Partner/Consultant at Peplat Consults. She has held pivotal roles including National Coordinator, New Hope Agency (NHA), immediate past National Coordinator for the Association for Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Nigeria (AONN), and SA Technical/Durable Solutions to the Honourable Federal Commissioner at the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI).
Dr. Dafiel’s expertise extends internationally, consulting for organizations and Institutions such as ECOWAS, International Centre for Migration Policy and Development (ICMPD), CARE International, UNICEF, and Catholic Relief Services, among others. She has also consulted for government MDAS at the National and State Levels – FMWA, Lagos State MYSD, Zamfara State MWASD, Kaduna State Etc.
She holds numerous certifications in Advocacy Strategy, Psycho-Trauma Counselling, Early Childhood Development, and Project Management, and is a Fellow of several esteemed institutes including the Institute for Chartered Secretaries and Administrators Nigeria (ICSAN), Commonwealth Academy of Leadership and Management and the Chartered Institute of Finance Control of Nigeria (CIFC).
A prolific author, her research and publications encompass critical topics in law, electioneering, counter terrorism, human trafficking, migration governance, child welfare, and social policy, reflecting her commitment to advancing rights and protections for vulnerable populations. Grace Perpetual Dafiel Ph.D is recognized for her leadership across multiple platforms and her significant contributions to advocacy, law, and humanitarian efforts both nationally and globally.
