The African Women Lawyers Association (AWLA) Nigeria is set to host its annual Parley on August 27, 2024. This highly anticipated event will gather advocates, stakeholders, and legal experts to discuss the theme “Digital Advocacy: Leveraging Technology for Inclusion.”
This year’s Parley will focus on digital advocacy for female lawyers, exploring how technology can be harnessed to promote inclusion within the legal profession.
The keynote address will be delivered by Edna Agusto, Founder of ReadManna Empowerment Initiative. Other notable speakers include Rotimi Ogunyemi, Partner at Johnson & Wilner | BOC Legal; Abimo Olayiwola, Principal Partner at ABILEGAL Barristers & Solicitors and Founder of Digital Lawyers’ Network; and Dr. Grace Ajaegbo, Assistant Director of the Legal Services Department at Rivers State House of Assembly.
The event will take place at the NIA Building, 42 Saka Tinubu Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, starting at 10:00 AM.
Bibian Aloba, Chairperson of the AWLA Nigeria Parley Committee 2024, and Caroline Ibharunaefe, President of AWLA Nigeria, will be present to welcome attendees.
