Army Holds Peace Support Operations Seminar In Abuja

The Army Headquarters in Abuja is holding its maiden peace support operations seminar in Abuja.

The seminar which is taking place at the Army War College Nigeria, is being organised by the Army Headquarters Department of Operations.

The four day seminar is being attended by top retired and serving military officers, the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, participants from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, paramilitary among other participants.

Lectures to be delivered during the four day conference include Maximizing Economic Benefits from the United Nations Peace Support Operations for Nigeria: Contingent Owned Equipment by Major General J. A Ataguba, Nigeria Participation in peace support Operations; Lessons for the Nigerian Army by Major General S. Z. Uba,(rtd), Sexual Exploitation and abuse in peace support Operations: Enhancing understanding amd.compliance by Julie Sanda, Nigeria’s contributions to peace support Operations amidst national security challenges; Options for the Nigerian Army by Major General B A Akinroluyo and Briefs on the 6th International partnership for technology in peace keeping symposium held from 21-24 June 22, at Pretoria South Africa by Major General S Mohammed
