APC Suspends Chairman, Deputy, Others Over Misconduct In Nasarawa

The chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State’s Ubbe Electoral Ward, Julius Akwanga, has been suspended over alleged misconduct.

Monday Oben, the ward’s deputy chairman, and Ayiwulu Khaki, the legal adviser, have both been expelled from the ruling party.

The Acting Chairman, Abuja Abashi, stated in a statement released immediately after a meeting of the Executives on Sunday that the suspension is indefinite and effective immediately.

Moses Malle, a party member and deputy chairman in the Nasarawa Eggon LGA, was also suspended, according to Abashi.

“A five-man committee have been constituted to investigate, make recommendations, and submit same to the party within the prescribed period of 4-days.

“This would enable the party arrived on competent resolution on the matter,” he added.

The affected persons were accused by a group weeks ago of engaging in anti-party activities.
