A US Congressman, Rep. Riley Moore has reiterated the commitment of President Donald Trump of the United States of America to the lives of Christians in Nigeria.
Moore made this statement in a post on his verified X handle on Friday.
He was reacting to the recent warning of the president to launch additional military strikes in Nigeria if attacks on Christian communities continue.
President Trump had earlier issued a stern warning that the US could strike again in Nigeria if attacks on Christian communities continue.
“President Trump is serious about his steadfast support to protecting our brothers and sisters in Christ who continue to face persecution in Nigeria. Do not test Trump’s resolve,” Moore wrote.
Responding to Moore, an X user, @HamzatAyodejiO2 said, “As a lover and advocate for peace in Nigeria, we shall be glad to have the US genuine intervention and not in disguise for extortion or breach of peace in religion, ethnicity of the Nigeria people!
“Nigeria is a sane nation with conscious and intellectually upright citizens.”
