A new Executive Secretary, Enefiok Essien, has been appointed for the Akwa Ibom State Judicial Service Commission.
This was contained in a statement obtained from the press unit of the commission in Uyo on Thursday.
The statement stated that Essien’s appointment follows the retirement of the erstwhile Executive Secretary of the Commission, Miss Patience Nneke, from the Service of the Akwa Ibom state government.
According to the statement, Mr Essien was, until his appointment, the Chief Dispute Resolution Officer at the Multi-Door Courthouse, Uyo; an arm of the Akwa Ibom state Judiciary in charge of Alternative Dispute Resolution.
The statement added that the Chief Judge of Akwa Ibom State, Justice Ekaete Fabian-Obot, had accordingly sworn in the executive secretary, charging him to be dedicated to his duties, saying that the new position calls for loyalty, diligence and responsibility.
“She urged him to be committed and focused in his new assignment, advising that he should always reach out to the appropriate authority for direction when such need arises.”
“Speaking on oaths, Mr Essien said he would be faithful in the discharge of his duties and would not allow his personal interest to influence his official conduct and decisions,” the statement said.
