Police officers have been admonished to discharge their duties professionally with respect to human rights, rule of law and ethics of Policing if they want to build their career to the next level.
The Assistant Inspector General of Police zone four Makurdi, gave the admonition to police officers and those newly promoted within the zonal command to up their game through actionable intelligence in tackling crime and criminality, stating that it is only by doing this they can move up in their career.
AIG, Zachariah Fera, stated this shortly after decorating eight police officers in the zone who were promoted from the rank of Superintendent of Police to Chief superintendent of Police and Assistant superintendent of Police to Deputy Superintendent of Police, congratulating the officers, he called on them to heed the directive of the Inspector General of Police in the course of carrying out their duties.
