The Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Lagos Branch, has confirmed the eligibility of Abiye Tam-George to contest for the position of Chairman in the forthcoming branch elections.
Tam-George, who served as Vice-Chair of the NBA Lagos Branch from 2021 to 2023 and chaired the Human Rights Committee during the same period, expressed gratitude for the trust and support of his colleagues.
In a statement released to her colleagues and sent to Lawhauz, she noted that her manifesto and statement of goals for the branch would be made public in line with the directives of the Electoral Committee.
“I am deeply humbled to announce that I have been confirmed eligible to contest for the office of Chairman, NBA Lagos Branch,” Tam-George stated.
She pledged a campaign anchored on innovation, creativity, and adaptability—values he says are essential for the continued progress of the branch.

Dear distinguished Senior Advocates, learned senior colleagues and other distinguished learned colleagues,
It is with profound humility that i announce my confirmation of eligibility for election into the office of Chairman, NBA, Lagos branch by the Electoral Committee of the branch.
Subject to the directives of the Electoral Committee, I will publish my manifesto and statement of goals for the Lagos branch.
