Members of the Nigerian Bar Association, judicial officers and guests gathered on Saturday evening for the AGC 2026 Cocktail, hosted by the Honourable Chief Judge of Rivers State, Hon. Justice Simeon Chibuzor Amadi, at the Ceremonial Court Hall, Block C, High Court Complex, Port Harcourt.
The event, held as part of activities marking the 66th Nigerian Bar Association Annual General Conference, provided an opportunity for members of the Bar and the Bench to interact in a relaxed setting away from the courtroom.
The evening opened with a warm reception as guests arrived to an atmosphere of music and hospitality. Conversations flowed freely among colleagues, while members of the legal profession took time to reconnect, exchange ideas and capture memorable moments.
Guests were served a wide selection of meals, refreshments and cocktails throughout the evening. Live music and comedy performances added colour to the event, with many lawyers and judges joining colleagues on the dance floor as the celebration continued.
Speaking at the event, NBA President, Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, thanked the Chief Judge for hosting members of the legal profession and described the reception as another example of the strong relationship between the Bar and the Bench.
The host, Hon. Justice Simeon Chibuzor Amadi, expressed appreciation to members of the Bar, judicial officers and invited guests for honouring his invitation. He noted that the cocktail was organised to welcome participants to Rivers State and to encourage fellowship among colleagues attending the Annual General Conference.
The Nigerian Bar Association also acknowledged the efforts of the AGC 2026 Planning Committee, led by Abdul Mohammed, SAN, for the successful coordination of conference activities and the seamless organisation of events surrounding the conference.
The cocktail concluded with music, dancing and continued networking, reinforcing the spirit of collegiality that has characterised AGC 2026 Beyond Limits.
