NBA Secures Release of Detained Protesters In Kano

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has secured the release of seven ‘End Bad Governance’ protesters unjustly detained in Kano.

According to a statement by the President, Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, the protesters have been unjustly detained since August but were released with the intervention of the Nigerian Bar Association Citizens’ Liberties Committee, led by the Committee Chairman, Mr. Nuhu Egya, Esq. and Mr. Deji Adeyanju, Esq. (Member of the Committee).

I would like to commend the Citizens’ Liberties Committee, led by the Committee Chairman, Mr. Nuhu Egya, Esq. and Mr. Deji Adeyanju, Esq. (Member of the Committee), for their critical intervention in Kano today. Their efforts successfully secured the release of seven ‘End Bad Governance’ protesters who had been unjustly detained since August. This intervention represents a significant step toward upholding justice and safeguarding the constitutional rights of citizens.

The Nigerian Bar Association @nigerianbar remains unwavering in its commitment to defending the rights of all Nigerians, ensuring that no individual is unlawfully detained or deprived of their freedom.
