NBA Provides Relief, Support for Flood Victims in Borno State

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has extended its humanitarian efforts to flood victims in Borno State, providing much-needed relief and support. In the wake of recent floods that have ravaged various communities, displacing families and destroying properties, the NBA has demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility by assisting affected individuals.

This initiative is part of the NBA’s broader objective to promote welfare, particularly for vulnerable groups. Relief materials, including food items, medical supplies, and essential household goods, were distributed to the victims, to alleviate their immediate suffering.

In response to the devastating floods in Borno State, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), under the leadership of Mazi Afam Osigwe, has launched an extensive relief effort. The NBA President appointed Welfare Secretary, Auta Nyanda, and Assistant General Secretary, Henry Barnabas Ehi, to oversee the relief efforts in collaboration with the Chairman of the Maiduguri Branch.

Following the President’s directive and a call for voluntary contributions, the following is the breakdown of donations received so far:
