LPPC Elevates Monday Ubani, Josiah Nduka And 85 Others to SAN Rank

The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC), chaired by His Lordship, the Hon. Chief Justice of Nigeria, Honorable Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, GCON, held its 164th Plenary session on August 1, 2024. During this session, the committee approved the elevation of 87 legal practitioners to the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).

The SAN title is a mark of excellence awarded to legal professionals who have distinguished themselves in the field, either as advocates or academics. This recognition highlights their significant contributions and outstanding performance in the legal profession. During the meeting, the committee also reviewed five different petitions submitted against some of the applicants. After thorough consideration, all the petitions were found to lack merit and were subsequently dismissed.

The LPPC’s decision to elevate these practitioners underscores their dedication and achievements in the legal sector. The appointment to the Inner Bar is not only a personal honor but also a testament to the high standards of legal practice and scholarship they uphold.

The swearing-in ceremony for the 87 newly appointed Senior Advocates of Nigeria is scheduled for Monday, September 30, 2024. This ceremony will officially mark their entry into the esteemed ranks of the Inner Bar, recognizing their excellence and contributions to the legal community.
