ESTHER IFEOMA JIMOH PICKS NBA LAGOS BRANCH VICE CHAIRMANSHIP NOMINATION FORM

Esther Ifeoma Jimoh, the Principal Counsel of Estelle Attorneys & Legal Consult, when contacted this morning, confirmed that she has decided to walk her talk by picking up the nomination form to vie for the Vice Chairmanship position of the Lagos Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association in the 2023 elections.

Esther, who is a member of the Human Rights Committee; the Ethics, Compliance and Dispute Resolution Committee and the Budget & Finance Sub-Committee of the Law Week Planning Committee, all of the NBA Lagos Branch, was called to the bar on January 23rd, 2001. Esther also currently heads the Prison Watch Committee of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), Ikeja-Lagos branch and she is a member of the Pro-bono Group of the National Association of Catholic Lawyers, Lagos.

Esther, who started her career, formally with the then Texaco Nigeria PLC, has garnered extensive experience in both corporate and private practice having worked also with Chevron OIL Nigeria PLC, MRS Oil Nigeria PLC, Philips O. Njeteneh & Co. and Usman & Elema (SAN) (Barristers & Solicitors) before establishing her practice. She has, in the course of her career, handled numerous assignments ranging from corporate affairs, government & public affairs, corporate secretarial practice, immigration, compliance, arbitration, human rights advocacy, mediation and commercial litigation to mention but a few.

When asked about the details of her manifesto, Esther reminded us that the ban on campaign hasn’t been lifted yet and as such we must continue to comply with the guidelines as released by the branch’s Electoral Committee. She however confirmed that she would submit same along with her completed form and other accompanying documents to the Committee before the deadline of April 14, 2023.
