The police on Thursday arraigned a 24-year-old man, Gideon Udoth, before a Grade ‘A’ Customary Court, Ibadan, for allegedly stealing a toolbox worth N300,000.
Udoth, whose address was not provided, is facing a count charge of stealing, to which he, however, pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Mr Philip Amusan, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on July 20, at about 7 a.m. in Ibadan.
Amusan said that the defendant stole a toolbox belonging to one Wasiu Oseni, the complainant.
He said that the offence contravened Section 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The court President, Mrs Sukurat Yusuf, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000, with one surety in like sum.
She, thereafter, adjourned the case till Aug. 20 for hearing.
