In a show of unity and sportsmanship, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, held the official fixture draws for the much-anticipated NBA President’s Cup Football Tournament. The competition forms part of the exciting lineup of events for the 2025 NBA Annual General Conference (AGC), reinforcing football as a powerful unifier within the legal profession.
Held in a hybrid format, the draws event was presided over by the Chair of the Conference Planning Committee, who emphasized the importance of fair play and strict adherence to the Tournament Rule Book—meticulously prepared with input from all participating teams and relevant stakeholders. During the event, the Committee also proudly unveiled the official sponsors of the tournament: Babatunde Ogala, SAN, and Chikosolu Ojukwu, SAN. Both sponsors have fully committed to supporting the male and female categories of the competition, with assurances that prize monies will be presented on the final day of the tournament.
As excitement builds for kick-off, participants were urged to play with integrity and uphold the spirit of sportsmanship. The Planning Committee closed the event with a rallying call to all players and supporters to “Stand Out and Stand Tall” as they showcase excellence on and off the pitch.
