The Lagos branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has officially adopted Caroline Obi for the position of NBA Treasurer. This decision reflects the branch’s confidence in her financial acumen and leadership abilities. Obi, a seasoned legal practitioner with years of experience in both law and finance, is seen as a strong candidate capable of managing the financial affairs of the association with transparency and efficiency.
Caroline Obi’s nomination comes at a crucial time for the NBA, as the association aims to enhance its financial management and accountability. Her track record in financial oversight and her dedication to the legal profession have made her a respected figure within the NBA community. The Lagos branch’s endorsement underscores their belief that she will bring a fresh perspective and robust financial strategies to the role of Treasurer, ensuring the association’s funds are managed prudently and effectively.
In an official statement by the Branch’s Chairman, Olabisi Makanjuola, the decision to adopt Caroline Obi as NBA Treasurer in the forthcoming NBA election was re-affirmed at the June 2022 General Meeting after a resolution was earlier passed at the Annual General Meeting of July 2020 to support members who are sole candidates vying for national positions from the branch.
Members of the branch are thereby urged to support massively and vote for her for better representation at the National Executive Committee.
