Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidates for the Labor Party (LP) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), have filed a motion to review the election documents from the just-completed presidential election.
Two separate ex-parte motions containing their request have been submitted to the PEC secretariat at the Court of Appeal, Abuja.
The motions have been scheduled for hearing on Friday, with the Independent National Electoral Commission and two other parties listed as respondents.
In his acceptance speech after being named the winner of the election on Wednesday, Bola Tinubu requested the two candidates to join him in the effort to improve the country, but the gesture of reconciliation was rejected by the two contenders.
Atiku and Obi refused to concede defeat in the February 25 presidential election.
